Building a harpsichord?

Ready to belly up to the belly-rail, but not sure where to wrest your plank? SDHS members may be able to help.  Several of us have built instruments and are willing to talk with you about your project, provide direction, and share anecdotal horror stories.

Contact us and let us know what you are building, how far along you are, and what type of instrument you are building. Your request will be passed along to one of our members who is willing to help. Please be patient. Remember that this is a volunteer activity, and we all have jobs and lives too!

Harpsichord not keeping too regular?

Regulating a harpsichord is one of the more adventurous (some would say visceral) pastimes mankind has devised. If you can’t, don’t feel bad. Neither can we. We all ask Duane.

Nevertheless, if you have a problem, or even a question, contact us and we’ll try to help.

Want to buy or sell a harpsichord?

Perhaps you timed it right and one of our members is ready to unload their box of wires on some unsuspecting neophyte such as yourself. Ours are new instruments, for the most part – but watch out for Pam who will try to dump something on you that may be hundreds of years old!

Let us know what your interests are.
